Looking to find a new home with a talented team? Here is an overview of how the recruitment process will play out.

Step 1 - Applying

What happens once you apply?

Now the exciting part begins!

Depending on your role, it may take a little while before you hear from us. Rest assured; we will be in touch. In the meantime, why not take the opportunity to learn more about what we do? Do follow us on our social channels for exciting company updates.

Consider these tips when preparing your application:

Keep things concise

When you’re looking to land an exciting new role, it’s tempting to list everything you’ve ever done, learned, and accomplished. We get it; you’re out to impress. Remember though, a longer document isn’t necessarily more impressive, especially at this early stage. Find ways to tell a concise story and highlight why you’re well suited to the specific role you’re interested in. There are no hard or fast rules for the length of your application.

A great application outlines the story of your career, but it should also offer a sense of you as a person. We think your lived experience is as important as your work experience, so we want you to be your authentic self throughout the recruitment process. Find ways to show us who you are, bring your unique personal story to life, and give us an insight into what makes you…you. You could write a cover letter, include a short introduction as part of your CV to highlight your personal story, or something else entirely. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box; we’re a creative team and we love surprises!

If you’re trying to find ways to trim your content, focus on the skills you can discuss in depth rather than every capability you’ve ever briefly dabbled in. Look for ways to highlight the work you have done with these skills. This approach will be helpful in the interviews: for us, because we can hone in on your unique expertise, and for you, because there won’t be any awkward silences if we ask about a skill you’re relatively new to.

Some teams and roles will value certain skills and experiences differently to others. Think about how you can tailor your application to speak more directly to the role you’re interested in. A small amount of effort here can be a great way to show your enthusiasm and commitment to the position. Attention to detail is key to making sure the right resume is submitted for the right role.

Try to list your career history with the most recent roles first, then go back chronologically through relevant roles from there. The faster we can find your most relevant career history, the better. After all, we’re interested in getting to know you and understanding your suitability for this role as soon as possible.

Step 2 - Interview Stage

What happens in the interview stage?

The interview process will change slightly depending on the role you’re interested in, but generally speaking, there are usually around three different interviews. Why? We’re interested in getting to know you. We love to chat about your skills, your personality, your story, and why you’d like to join the team. It’s a lot to cover, but it’s all crucial information. At the same time, it’s important that you have ample opportunity to get to know us too. This process is a two-way street after all.

Your first conversation is usually a virtual meeting with the recruitment team. It’s a 20-40-minute call to follow up on your written application and have a chat about your general career history and future aspirations. If successful, you will move through your interview rounds, the first of which will likely be a technical interview.

Throughout the process, our talent acquisition team will always be there to follow and support your whole journey. Consider these tips when preparing for interviews:

– Use examples when you talk about past experience

If you contributed to a recent project, or solved an interesting client or customer problem, be prepared to tell us all the details. If you worked on the research, design, development of a specific app, website, or product, we’d love to hear about it.

Your professional experience is always more compelling with specific context. Take the time to prepare your examples before the interview: it’s typically much easier than thinking on the spot.

If you can’t provide us with a specific example from your experience, we’d still like to understand how you’d hypothetically approach the scenario.

– A little bit of research goes a long way

The more you know about what we do, who we do it for, and why, the better. For example, if you’ve used our web or mobile apps, we’d love your feedback on them. If you’re passionate about user experience, tell us what you think of our products. Find ways to demonstrate that you understand our customers, highlight how you might provide value in your role, and help us change the way the world experiences property.

Step 3 - Making things official

Once we have learned how incredible you are and seen how you can help us change the way the world experiences property, we will ask you to seal the deal! You have found a new home to grow, learn, be inspired, and be you, and we have found another incredible teammate.
